Description: This article explains how to customize the visual appearance of your Charge-Up Invoices by applying specific print templates. Profitz allows you to define these templates at different levels, ensuring the correct format is used for specific Jobs or Debtors.
Understanding Template Priority: The system selects which template to use based on a specific hierarchy. It checks settings in the following order:
- Job Level: If a template is set on the Job, it takes the highest priority. It will override any setting on the Debtor account.
- Debtor Level: If no template is set on the Job, the system checks the Debtor Account. If a template is set here, it will be used.
- Standard Default: If no template is selected on the Job or the Debtor, the system uses the standard Invoice Print template.
How to configure templates: To apply a specific template, follow the steps below based on your requirements.
- Set a Template for a Specific Job
- Navigate to Job Setup.
- Select the Additional Info tab.
- Choose the desired option from the Template Code dropdown menu.
- Set a Template for a Specific Debtor
- Navigate to the Debtor Account setup screen.
- Select the Additional Info tab.
- Choose the desired option from the Template Code dropdown menu.
On Debtor Account setup the Template Code selection is on the Additional Info tab.
On Job setup the Template Code selection is on the Additional Info tab.
FAQ:
What happens if I set a template on the Debtor but want a specific Job to look different?
You can achieve this by setting a template on that specific Job. Because the Job level has higher priority, it will ignore the Debtor's default template for that specific project.
