Manufacture Stock Items
Stock can be manufactured from a job. The job is set up as normal, with labour and materials costed to it. When the work is complete, the costs assigned to the job can then be used to generate stock items. To use this, there must be a To Stock Resource and Operation code set on the Company Master.
Job costs assigned to the job
When all the costs have been processed, use the Manufacture Stock app to generate the new stock items. These can either be moved back to stock on hand or transferred directly to another job
Generating a new stock item will debit (increase) the value of stock on hand in the balance sheet, and credit the original costs out of the P&L
Transferring the stock item to a new job will leave costs in place in the P&L but may recode them slightly based on some settings
