Description This article explains the new functionality that allows you to enforce a maximum monetary value for a single EFT file payment. This feature is designed to align Profitz with the specific transaction limits set by your bank.
How it works We can now apply a specific maximum value limit to any Bank Account record in Profitz.
Once this limit is defined, the system monitors the total value of transactions included in any single EFT batch created for that account.
What happens if the limit is exceeded? The validation occurs when you attempt to generate the bank file.
-
Create the Batch
- You can select and process payments as normal.
-
Download the File
- When you attempt to Download the EFT file, the system checks the total value against the set limit.
- If the total exceeds the maximum value, the system will trigger an error message and prevent the file from being downloaded.
FAQ:
Why do I need this feature?
Many banks impose strict limits on the value of a single bulk payment file. If you upload a file that exceeds this limit, the bank may reject it entirely. This feature catches the issue inside Profitz before you send the file, saving time and administrative effort.
What should I do if I get the error?
You will need to split your payment batch into smaller groups of transactions that fall under the limit and generate separate EFT files for each group.
