Whether you're reviewing a Profit & Loss statement, comparing budget vs actuals, or drilling into divisional performance, this tool gives you the flexibility to filter, segment, and explore your financials with precision.

How to Access

Navigate to General Ledger › GL Reporting

Key Features

• Report Selection: Choose from a list of predefined reports created in GL › GL Reporter › Report Designer. These reports define the structure and layout of your financial output.
• Division Filtering: Select a GL Division Code to filter the report by business unit, region, or cost centre. For example, SE01 represents Southeast Commercial.
• Show Detail to Division Level: Tick this checkbox to expand the report and display line-by-line detail for each division.
• As at Year Period: Select the financial period to base the report on. For example, 01.26 refers to the first period in the 2026 financial year. This selection determines:
  • Year-to-date results
  • Period vs previous period comparisons
• Budget Type: Choose which budget to display in the report:
• Interactive Drill-Down: Click any blue hyperlink in the report to view transaction-level detail for that item. This allows you to investigate variances and trace figures back to their source.

Best Practices

• Use Division filtering to isolate performance by region or department
• Select the appropriate Budget Type to compare actuals against your original plan or updated forecast
• Use hyperlinked drilldowns to investigate anomalies or unexpected results

Limitations

• Reports must be created in GL › GL Reporter › Report Designer before they appear in the dropdown
• Only transactions posted to the General Ledger will appear in reports
• Budget data must be entered and maintained separately to appear in variance columns
