Description: Use the Set Period Ranges window to control which financial periods are included in your Job Enquiry results. This tool allows you to quickly select common reporting periods or define a custom date range for more focused financial analysis.
Step‑by‑step instructions
Before starting, ensure your system financial period is correctly set.
1. Open the Set Period Ranges Window
Click Set Period Ranges in the Job Enquiry screen to open the Select Period Ranges window.
2. Choose Summary or Detail View
- SUMMARY: Displays a summary of the selected period(s).
- DETAIL: Displays a more detailed breakdown of the selected period(s). (Only available if applicable to the enquiry.)
3. Enable Multiple Selections (Optional)
Tick Allow Multiple to select more than one Summary and/or Detail option.
This allows for more flexible reporting combinations.
4. Use Quick‑Select Period Options
Choose from preset period ranges for fast reporting.
- Current: Displays job information for the current financial period. Example: 05.26 (August 2025)
- Last: Displays job information for the previous financial period. Example: 04.26 (July 2025)
- Next: Displays job information for the next financial period. Example: 06.26 (September 2026)
- Total: Displays job information for all periods (past, current, and future).
- YTD (Year to Date): Displays all periods from the start of the financial year up to the current period. Example: 01.25 to 05.25 (April 2025 to August 2025)
- Total To Date: Displays all periods up to the current period.
- Last 12: Displays the last 12 financial periods.
5. Define a Custom Period Range
Use the Range row to select a specific start and end period.
- Tick SUMMARY or DETAIL in the Range row.
- Select the period range you want to include.
6. Apply the Period Range
Click Set Criteria to apply your selections and refresh the Job Enquiry results.
FAQ
Why is the Current Period incorrect?
The system financial period may not be updated. See End of Month for instructions on updating the period.
Can I select multiple period types at once?
Yes — tick Allow Multiple to enable multi‑selection.
